Ziricote Landscaped Scales (Natural) - ZR12

Ziricote (cordia dodecandra) is a very dense, very oily hardwood that is native to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Depending on how it is cut, it can show beautiful snakeskin like rays/flecks, or excellent landscaped patterns.

These scales were cut in the highly prized, landscape orientation and feature fantastic figure!  Ziricote is very hard, but care must be taken not to overheat the wood when grinding.

These were left natural, although future offerings will likely be stabilized.  The price has been reduced because of this.

Scales measure 5" x 1.6" x .29" and are sold as a set.
