Pernambuco Scales

Pernambuco (Paubrasilia Echinata) or Brazilwood is a very rare wood to see on the market.  It has traditionally been used as a bow wood for violins, as well as for making red dye.  Super, super dense and stable!

Over harvesting has unfortunately left pernambuco on the endangered species list and import/export is highly regulated.  I only have a few blocks of pre CITES stock and once it's gone, it's gone.  I won't be procuring more.
