Collection: West African Ebony Blocks

Diospyros crassiflora - or West African Ebony….  Also known as Gabon or gaboon ebony is a beautiful, true ebony.  It’s widely loved for its dark black appearance, although it can sometimes have grey or brown streaking.

VERY hard to dry properly (takes years), with lots of loss to checking(these blocks have been stored for over a decade).
