Vintage Westinghouse Natural Crosscut Canvas Micarta Scales

Absolutely gorgeous vintage Westinghouse canvas Micarta!  This is some seriously high quality material, they just don't make it like this any more!  This was sourced from the Boeing Plant 2 in Tukwila, Washington after they ceased operations.

The crosscut orientation exposes the tightly packed canvas layers, creating beautiful, intricate lines of golden amber and rich brown that almost resemble natural woodgrain.  The incredible contrast between the layers gives this material a truly distinctive appearance.

This particular material is among the hardest Micarta we've ever worked with, and it takes an absolutely ridiculous polish!  The higher you take the grit, the more incredible the depth and detail become. Beautiful stuff!

Once it's gone, it's gone!

The first photo shows the scales unsanded, as they will ship. The second photo and video show one scale sanded to 1,000 grit and left unbuffed, while the other is sanded to 5,000 grit and left unbuffed.

Scales are available in multiple thicknesses and are sold in sets of two.
