Richlite Scales - R50

Richlite paper phenolic scales in R50.

The original!  R50 was very first product Richlite brought to the market.  Made from 50% recycled cardboard boxes, you can differentiate this color from other browns by the specks of material common to recycled paper.  This is currently our favorite color produced by Richlite!  So much depth and character!

Richlite is a paper composite very similar to paper Micarta.  It is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and cardboard mixed with phenolic resin.  Richlite is extremely durable material, offering great impact, flex, and scratch resistance.  It is a very dense material, but still easily machinable.

Our favorite aspect of Richlite is that is continues to age and patina with time because it is made with a phenolic resin.  Richlite only looks more and more beautiful as time goes by.

We have tried several paper phenolic products over the course of our testing and have found Richlite to behave most similarly to vintage paper Micarta.
