Richlite Scales - Chocolate Glacier

Richlite paper phenolic scales in Chocolate Glacier.

Chocolate Glacier is a rich chocolate brown color with black mottling that ages to a wonderful brownish-black.  Lots of depth with this color.  We like it jigged in particular.

Richlite is a paper composite very similar to paper Micarta.  It is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and cardboard mixed with phenolic resin.  Richlite is extremely durable material, offering great impact, flex, and scratch resistance.  It is a very dense material, but still easily machinable.

Our favorite aspect of Richlite is that is continues to age and patina with time because it is made with a phenolic resin.  Richlite only looks more and more beautiful as time goes by.

We have tried several paper phenolic products over the course of our testing and have found Richlite to behave most similarly to vintage paper Micarta.

Scales come in multiple sizes, and are sold in sets of two.
