Crosscut Richlite "Green Mountain" Paper Phenolic Scales

This is it! The long discontinued Green Mountain Richlite recipe, in one of the rarest configurations we've ever come across!

Extremely beautiful, incredibly hard to find, and highly sought after! We've been hunting for this particular material for quite some time, and we're thrilled to finally have some available!

Unlike traditional Richlite scales, these are cut across the layers of the original material, creating a distinctive appearance with subtle variations in color and pattern. Some pieces also feature a beautiful natural patina running through the center, adding even more character to this already exceptional material.

Richlite is a paper composite very similar to traditional paper Micarta. Made from 100% post consumer recycled paper and cardboard combined with phenolic resin, Richlite is an extremely durable material with excellent impact, flex, and scratch resistance. Despite its density, it is surprisingly easy to machine and finish.

One of our favorite things about Richlite is how beautifully it ages. Thanks to its phenolic resin, the material continues to develop a natural patina over time, gaining character and depth as it ages. In our opinion, Richlite only gets better looking with time!

We've worked with and tested numerous paper phenolic composites over the years, and Richlite is the modern material we've found to behave most similarly to vintage paper Micarta. This particular Green Mountain recipe is exceptionally dense and hard!

We have these available both with and without the distinctive center patina. If you have a preference, leave us a note with your order and we'll do our best to accommodate!

Scales measure 5" x 1.5" x .27" and are sold in sets of two.
