Beautiful, WW2 era, dark brown phenolic with canvas rag pressed into it. Produced by General Electric! I really don’t have much to say about this stuff. The history, and the material speak for themselves, I think.
This material will become a lighter brown* the deeper you sand into it. 80 year old surface patina!
Note that most of these have a single hole along the edge, and the back side will need some cleaning up.
