Bloodstone Richlite Scales

Nightshade layered Richlite paper phenolic scales.

Layers of Redstone and Black Diamond come together to make a luxurious recipe we call Bloodstone.  This material was custom pressed for us at Knife Handle Supply.  You can achieve incredibly cool patterns and depth when contoured!

Richlite is a paper composite very similar to paper Micarta.  It is made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and cardboard mixed with phenolic resin.  Richlite is extremely durable material, offering great impact, flex, and scratch resistance.  It is a very dense material, but still easily machinable.

Our favorite aspect of Richlite is that is continues to age and patina with time because it is made with a phenolic resin.  Richlite only looks more and more beautiful as time goes by.

We have tried several paper phenolic products over the course of our testing and have found Richlite to behave most similarly to vintage paper Micarta.

Scales measure 5" x 1.5" x .27" and are sold in sets of two.
