Box Elder Burl Scales

Box elder (acer negundo) is a type of maple.  It’s more or less considered a pest species and is killed while young, so it’s a little less common to find larger burls compared to other maples.  Box elder burl is breathtakingly beautiful, and after stabilization, makes for a fantastic knife handle.
